The Glebe District Hockey Club was formed in 1931 to serve the needs of young people in the local area and remains one of the oldest hockey clubs in Sydney.
We are proud of the values and traditions handed on by many generations of players and supporters. Our core values of Family, Equality, Commitment and Contribution reflect our desire to be a competitive force in Sydney hockey as well as our interest in continuing to make a difference in the local community, promoting our sport especially among the young.
The Club is a not-for-profit organisation with 23 teams in both senior and junior competitions within the Sydney area and we cater to all abilities. Our Hookin2Hockey program, designed for children between the ages of 4 and 8, is the biggest in the Inner West of Sydney. The Club is committed to ensuring that its members enjoy their hockey experience regardless of age, gender, ability or financial means. A culture of ‘giving back’ is a key part of being a member of the Glebe family.
