Congratulations to one of the Club’s CHAMPIONS, Vernon Turner, who today was named in the Australia Day Honours List for Services to Hockey. Vernon was a phenomenal player for Glebe from 1942-1958 playing in the First Grade team which won 12 premierships during this time. He was also instrumental in the development of the Club’s first junior teams. Vernon is pictured sporting his Glebe blazer from his junior coaching days.
